About AgriConnect

AgriConnect is an innovative digital platform designed to modernise agricultural trade in the Caribbean by integrating financial technology (FinTech) solutions. Developed by Public Good Studio and supported by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), this agritech initiative connects smallholder farmers with commercial buyers. It forms part of a collaborative effort involving the Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre (TTIFC), the National Agricultural Marketing and Development Corporation (NAMDEVCO), and the UNCDF, with a focus on utilising FinTech to create market-relevant solutions.

In the Caribbean, only 25% of agricultural trade occurs within the region, compared to 60% in the European Union.[1] Many farmers and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) remain financially underserved, with limited access to digital financial tools and services. AgriConnect addresses these challenges by providing a seamless, secure, and efficient trading ecosystem. The platform is exclusively available to farmers and commercial buyers registered with NAMDEVCO. Commercial buyers can contact NAMDEVCO’s Marketing Department for more information, while farmers can sign up directly at farmers.agriconnect.online.
